BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe Spy Video at the Nurburgring
The CLS started it all, and the A7 joined the party. But BMW aren’t going to be left out of the four-door, swoopy coupe market for long with the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe due to arrive in the Summer of 2012, after the Gran Coupe Concept was revealed at Frankfurt last year. The new F10M-spec M5 is downsizing from the E60's 5.0-litre V10 for the same 550bhp 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 found in the X5M and X6M. But rather than the torque convertor autos used by the SUV pair, the new motor is mated to a beefed-up version of the the seven-speed M-DCT double-clutch transmission currently serving in the M3.
Business secretary Vince Cable has visited Lotus’ Norfolk headquarters today, where he announced the company would be awarded £10.44 million from the Regional Growth Fund. The money will be used for research and development of products, as well as staff training. The sports car company expects to create 313 full time jobs to support production over the coming years.
